Are the download exams, tests and information compliant and accepted by inspecting officers?
In the UK food handlers do not have to hold a food hygiene certificate to prepare or sell food,although many food businesses will prefer that they do. The necessary skills may be obtained through on-the-job training, self-study or relevant prior experience.
This free booklet is intended as a learning resource for those wishing to reach level two in food hygiene and is accompanied by a level two equivalent multiple choice test paper. The pass mark is 21/30 and you may not refer to this booklet or any other material during the test.
The training aid is designed for you to work through at your own pace and you may wish to make further research on line via links referred to within this document.

How much does this cost?
There is no cost for the booklet and test paper which are freely available.
The only cost is for the issue of a certificate £12.95 for a PDF version sent to your e mail address for you to print or £14.95 for a printed version sent directly to you.
Any retained clients will have this cost included.

Can this test paper be marked or used by any qualified person?
No, the certificates are only valid if they have been marked by Foodtrain/MacWilliam Associates and signed by Tim MacWilliam FRSPH
Is this a nationally recognised certificate?
The certificate complies with training needs of food handlers within catering outlets such as hotels, bars and restaurants. The standard of this information and test paper are trusted to be to the level of the CIEH or RSPH but not directly endorsed by them.
Can these be issued in different languages?

How long is the certificate valid for?
Certificates should be renewed within three years, a renewal date will be printed on your certificate.
